Maisha Safehouse for Young Girls
LIVN Global is dedicated to restoring hope and dignity for vulnerable young girls aged 7-16 at Maisha Safehouse in Kenya, a sanctuary for survivors of rape, abuse, maltreatment, and abandonment.

Our empowerment programs provide skills training in sewing, baking, and entrepreneurship, equipping these young resilient girls (many of whom have given birth due to sexual violence) with the tools to build financial independence and brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Through engaging activities like art workshops, music sessions, and group sports, we create safe spaces for the girls to heal, express themselves, and rediscover joy. These initiatives foster emotional well-being, help process trauma, and build connections with peers, nurturing resilience and community while laying the foundation for a stronger, healthier future.

At Maisha Safehouse, no girl is left to face her journey alone. LIVN Global is fostering a supportive community where the girls feel valued and understood. We facilitate peer support groups and mentorship programs, connecting them with caring staff and local role models who offer guidance and encouragement. For those who are young mothers, we provide parenting support to help them nurture their children while pursuing their own growth.
Our projects are designed to meet them where they are—offering safety, empowerment, and hope. By equipping them with skills, engaging their spirits, and wrapping them in community, we’re helping them transform pain into strength and build lives of dignity and purpose.
Barding Village
Barding Village, located in Alego Usonga Constituency, Siaya County, Kenya, is a small rural community in western Kenya, with a population of approximately 995,000, primarily comprising members of the Luo tribe. The population is mainly reliant on agriculture, and the village faces challenges including limited access to quality education, clean water scarcity, high poverty levels, and inadequate healthcare.
Young girls in rural Kenya face additional issues such as gender-based violence (GBV), with 13.5% of girls aged 13-17 reporting sexual violence in 2019, teenage pregnancies (15% in 2022), early marriages, and school dropouts due to poverty and lack of effective mentorship.
LIVN Global is dedicated to addressing these issues through sustainable initiatives in education, water and sanitation, economic empowerment, and healthcare improvements to enhance the quality of life for the population of Barding Village.

Impactful Community Enhancement

LIVN Global is transforming Barding village by empowering its most vulnerable residents—widows and orphans—through strategic, community-driven initiatives. We’re establishing a borehole for clean water access, launching sustainable livelihood programs like soap-making and farming to foster economic independence, and supporting education through scholarships and community-enhancing projects in partnership with local leaders.

By working hand-in-hand with Barding’s community leaders, LIVN Global is dedicated to transforming lives, fostering hope, and building a brighter, more sustainable future for this resilient community. Join us in supporting Barding’s journey toward prosperity and self-reliance.
